Ghana Police Rescues 12-year-old Wife Of 63-year-old Nungua Gborbu Wulomo
Ghana Police Service have rescued the 12-year-old wife of Nungua Gborbu Wulomo.
Officers of the Ghana Police Service have rescued the 12-year-old married to the 63-year-old Nungua Gborbu Wulomo.
This marriage happened on Saturday March 30, 2024 and it sparked outrage on social media with well meaning Ghanaians calling for State authorities to rescue the girl.
Others called on the Ghana Police Service to arrest the 63-year-old Nungua Traditional Priest for being a pedophile under the guise of practicing the customs of his town.
Finally the Ghana Police Service have acted as they have rescued the 12-year-old girl from the 63-year-old man.
According an official statement released by the Ghana Police Service, the girl and her mother are currently under their protection.
The Ghana Police Service has identified and located the 12-year-old girl who is alleged to have been married to the 63-year-old Gborbu Wulomo in Nungua, Accra. The girl and her mother are currently under Police protection.

The statement says “The Ghana Police Service is working with the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection and the Department of Social Welfare to provide her with the necessary support while the matter is being investigated”
