The Captain of Ghana has come under backlash after his penalty miss caused the exit of Ghana from the ongoing World Cup.

Apparently the penalty miss and Ghana’s exit weren’t the only bad things that happened to him yesterday.

In his address to broken hearted Ghanaian fans on his Instagram page, he confirmed news that his daughter was hospitalized after the defeat to Uruguay yesterday.

According to Andre Ayew in the morning before the game against Portugal, he lost his godson.

He assured everyone that this difficult moment will inspire him to come back stronger and better in the future.
