Niger Community in Ghana say the young beggars on the streets of the major streets of Ghana are Nigerians.
Chief Mohammed, a leader of the Niger Community in Ghana has revealed the young beggars on the streets of Ghana are from Nigeria.
Kofi Adomah caught up with at the Akwasidae in Kumasi and he said the young beggars aren’t from his country contrary to popular belief.
Chief Mohammed first said he doesn’t understand why these beggars want to remain beggars when on the same streets they can see Ghanaians selling pure water, something they should be emulating.
According to him two years ago, they contributed money with large sum coming from their chief to eradicate these young beggars from the streets and send them back.
When the plane landed in Niger, the beggars confessed to being from Nigeria.

Alhaji Mohammed said out of 700 beggars they gathered from the streets, only 45 were Niger nationals with 655 being Nigerians.
