Ghana repatriates 562 Nigerien beggars back to their country, 1,000 more to follow

Ghana has repatriated 562 Nigerien beggars back to their country.

The government of Ghana has repatriated 562 Nigerien beggars on the streets of Accra back home to their country.

This move was done in collaboration with the Nigerien Embassy in Ghana.

The first batch of the repatriated street beggars arrived in Yamai city in Niger on Wednesday June 9, 2022.

 

 

 

Rest of the mobilized beggars are expected to join their colleagues in the course of the week.

Several others are yet to be mobilized from other parts of the country in the government’s quest to rid the major cities of streets beggars.
