Liverpool books Champions League Semifinals date with Barcelona

Liverpool Football Club has booked a Champions League semifinals date with Barcelona after eliminating FC Porto.

The Reds defeated FC Porto 4-1 last night with goals from Mane, Salah, Firmino and Van Dijk adding to the 2-0 win at Anfield in the first leg.

The result pitches them against Barcelona who eliminated Manchester United, defeating them home and away.

The first leg of the Barcelona Vs Liverpool game will take place at Camp Nou on the 30th of April and the return leg will be held on 7th May at the home stadium of Liverpool, Anfield.

The last time these two clubs were paired in the knockout stage of the Champions League was in 2007.

Liverpool lost 0-1 in the first leg at home but overturned the scoreline to beat Barcelona 2-1 away at Camp Nou.

Though the aggregate scoreline was 2-2, Liverpool qualified to the finals with a superior away goal.
