63-year-old Nungua Traditional Priest Gborbu Wulomo Marries 12-year-old Girl
A traditional priest in Nungua Gborbu Wulomo has married a 12-year-old girl.
Nungua traditional priest, Gborbu Wulomo, Nuumo Borketey Laweh Tsuru XXXIII has married a 12-year-old girl known as Naa Okromo.
The marriage ceremony of the 63-year-old traditional priest and the 12-year-old took place on Saturday March 30, 2024.
Following the marriage, Naa Okromo now assumes the traditional name Naa Ayemoede.

The young girl will undergo a second customary ceremony, one centered on purification which will empower her to perform her duty as a wife to the Gborbu Wulomo and it includes giving birth for him.
This marriage has received criticism from a section of the public.
