Lydia Forson has called out the society we live in over the ill treatment of single mothers.

Ghanaian actress and activist Lydia Forson is asking why the society ridicule single mothers and not the men who made the women single mothers.

Taking to social media app X, she said she doesn’t understand why women get ridiculed for being single mothers.

According to her, it’s not the fault of the single mother for believing who promised to do the right thing and ended up deceiving her.

She added that same society that ridicules single mothers calls women with high standards difficult.

Lydia Forson wrote;

I will never understand how women are ridiculed for being single mothers and not the men who left them.

Like how do you call a girl irresponsible for believing that a man who promised to do right by her, didn’t?

Same society will call you “difficult” for having high standards.
