Who Won Afcon 2021? Sadio Mane Scores Winning Penalty As Senegal Beat Egypt To Win AFCON 2021 Trophy

Senegal are the champions of African after beating Egypt in AFCON 2021 final.

Sadio Mane scored the winning penalty kick to help Senegal beat Egypt to win AFCON 2021 Trophy.

The Taranga Lions of Senegal dominated the game for the entire 120 minutes but couldn’t take the numerous chances that came their way.

Star of the team Sadio Mane missed an early minute penalty which would have settled the game.

The Liverpool forward made up for his earlier penalty miss and scored the winning penalty kick in the shootouts.

For once football wasn’t cruel as the best team of the day won the game and the cup.

 

 

This is Senegal’s first AFCON trophy in their history having lost the final in 2002 to Cameroon and 2019 to Algeria.
