We’ve already been to court twice; Martha Ankomah will be in my next film, Lilwin

Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, better known by his stage name LilWin, has updated the public on his continuing court battle with fellow actress Martha Ankomah.

He disclosed that they had attended two court dates with the intention of resolving the issue amicably through legal mediation.

He says he is hopeful about the procedures, implying that they are moving along favorably and that a speedy resolution may be forthcoming.

Due to a court-approved confidentiality agreement between the parties, the matter cannot be covered by the media, which explains why there hasn’t been any public discussion about it.

In a video that Express GH TV uploaded to YouTube, LilWin said he was impressed with Martha’s skill and that he planned to cast her in a future movie.

“The specifics are private; we’ve attended two court proceedings. I have the utmost regard for Martha’s acting abilities. Once we’ve settled this disagreement, I want to work with her on my next movie. I’ll speak with her directly about the script and let everyone know what she decides,” he said.

LilWin’s social media rant on February 8, 2024, in which he accused Martha Ankomah of constantly declining parts in the Kumawood film industry, was the catalyst for the legal conflict.

LilWin was sued by Martha Ankomah, who claimed that LilWin’s remarks caused defamation and harm to his reputation. She is requesting a 5 million Ghanaian cedi compensation for the damage done to her reputation.
