Per the rules of the game, the the center referee isn’t fit to continue with the game, the 4th referee must replaced him.
Unfortunately, the 4th referee is an Ivorian and couldn’t referee a match involving his own country so the game was ended at the 80th minute instead of the usual 90 minute.
Ivory Coast were leading by 3-1 when the game ended but the result is good enough for Ethiopia to qualify together with Ivory Coast because, 3rd placed team, Madagascar drew 0-0 with Nigerian.
