Saudi Arabia have defeated Argentina at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Saudi Arabia has defeated Argentina in the first upset of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Argentina went into the game as the overwhelming favorites having being tipped as one of the favorites to win the World Cup.

They took an early led through their Captain Lionel Messi from a penalty kick.

Saudi Arabia returned for the 2nd half a spirited side and scored two quick goals to overturn the scoreline.

Argentina pushed and pushed for the equalizer but the game ended 2-1 in favor of Saudi Arabia.

 

 

 

This results means Argentina have tasted defeat for the first time after 36 games unbeaten.
