Police Investigation Reveals Shocking Details of Dispatch Rider’s Deadly Accident in Shatta Wale’s Convoy

According to a police situational report obtained by MyNewsGh famed Ghanaian artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah, born Charles Wale, was being escorted by a policeman when he crashed and died.

The incident happened on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., when 38-year-old Sergeant Frempah Bismark, an outrider for former president John Agyekum Kufuor, was traveling from Bolgatanga to Tamale.

When he got to a stretch of road on the borders of Gbimsi village, which is close to Savelugu, he collided with a Toyota Sienna, registration number AS 5979-21, which was being driven by a 34-year-old man named Baba Francis, who was traveling from Tamale toward Bolgatanga with five passengers on board.

The suspect driver and the passengers of the motorcycle with registration number AS-8297-22 managed to flee unharmed, but the outrider, who was riding it, passed away instantly.

 

Following their arrival at the scene, a police squad led by ASP/Mr. W Fuseini took the deceased outrider’s body to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where the attending physician, Dr. Mohammed Wumpini, pronounced him dead.

After that, the body was placed in the morgue of the same hospital so that it could be preserved and examined.

The accident car has been confiscated for investigation, and the suspected driver has been detained to help with the inquiry.
