Police Arrest 2 Persons Over Killing Of Social Media Activist As Ejura Residents Demonstrate For Justice

Ghana Police Service have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Ibrahim Kaaka Mohammed, the FixTheCountry activist.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in the attack and murder of one Ibrahim Mohammed alias ‘Kaaka’ aged 45 and resident of Dagombaline, a suburb of Ejura in the Ashanti Region.

The suspects are Ibrahim Issaka alias ‘Anyaas’ and Fuseini Alhassan currently in Police custody.

According to the police, both were arrested at about 10:45pm on Monday 28th June 2021 following police intelligence.

Witness accounts show that the deceased was ambushed in front of his house when he was returning home on his motorbike at about 1:30am on 27th June 2021.

Kaaka was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital and later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he died at midday 28th June 2021.

Police investigation will also extend to rumours that the deceased was a journalist and a member of the fixthecountry movement to ascertain if the murder was linked to his work or the movement.
