People in Tema do not support artistes enough – Rapper Donzy (Video)

Ghanaian rapper Donzy has revealed why they (Musicians) haven’t organized an all-star concert in Tema.

According to the ‘Club’ hitmaker in an interview “Showbiz Agenda” on Zylofon FM 102.1 told the host Sammy Flex that the people of Tema do not motivate artistes enough and this is the main reason behind Tema artistes not organizing shows in Tema.

He compared Takoradi to Tema noting that the kind of support Takoradi gives to their artiste especially Kofi Kinaata is the reason why he feels he always has to do a show to appreciate them.

”Bra Sammy you see Tema, if you organize a show over there, you wouldn’t get any support. The motivation and morale in you will push you to do an event in Tema but the people in Tema don’t show motivation that’s why we haven’t organized a show in Tema. The support Takoradi people are giving to Kinaata is not the same as what we get in Tema” he fumed.

Clearing controversies around beefs in the industry, the rapper pointed out that artistes engage in beefs for personal gains but it doesn’t help the industry as a whole.

“For beefs, it is for personal gains but it is not for the industry. Some people will say when artistes are beefing, it helps the industry but it isn’t true because even when Strongman and Medikal were beefing, I was very busy in the studio doing my recordings. I’m a rapper but I have never beefed before, but if someone brings it, I will reply to him,” he added.
