NPP Government Has Disappointed Us — Yvonne Nelson Tells Gabby Otchere-Darko
Following Gabby Otchere-Darko’s criticism over Ghana Movie Industry, a lot of Ghanaian actors have taken to social media to slam him.
Gabby in a Facebook post said he in the industry for its lack of creativity.
“I took my time to watch randomly ten Ghanaian movies and never felt so disappointed. It brought home to me one major deficiency in our development. The apparent lack of deliberate consciousness on the part of the creative industry in the development conversation…,” he said.
However, it seems many of the Ghanaian actors and producers believe the nephew of President Akufo-Addo is talking utter nonsense.
Leading the attack is actress Yvonne Nelson, who took to her Twitter handle to blast Gabby and the NPP.
According to her, the cricism from Gabby is utterly unfair, as the fault is from the government because they have abandoned the movie industry.
Yvonne Nelson added that Otchere-Darko’s comparison of Hollywood and Ghana Movie Industry is jarring.
“How do you even compare Hollywood to our industry! It’s like comparing our economy to theirs!” she said.
Hello @GabbyDarko is your interview on peacefm online real?? If it is I’m also disappointed! A few of us are pushing really hard for this industry! Since our leaders have also totally abandoned the industry, we contribute too, just like nurses,doctors..etc
