Name University of Ghana after my father – Busia’s Daughter, Nana Frema

The last daughter of Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, Nana Frema Busia says the University of Ghana should be named after her father.

Speaking to Bernard Avle on citi breakfast show, she said her father deserves that honor because he was the first Black Professor of the University of Ghana.

Nana Frema Busia added that her father established the Sociology Department of the University.

The last daughter of the former Ghana Prime Minister says, naming his father after the University of Energy and Natural Resources wouldn’t be such a great honor because that said University isn’t up to standards.

Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, was the first opposition leader in Ghana and subsequently became the 2nd Prime Minister of Ghana following the end of Kwame Nkrumah’s reign.
