Lilwin granted 50,000 cedis bail – Here’s all you need to know

The Asokore Mampong district Court has granted GH₵50,000 bail with two sureties to popular Kumawood actor Lil Win.

His next court date is June 27, 2024. The Manhyia Divisional Police Command detained Lil Win on Monday, June 3rd due to his involvement in an accident that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old.

The tragic event happened on May 25 in Amakom in Kumasi, only hours before his film “A Country Called Ghana” opened at the KNUST theater. As soon as the actor left the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Monday morning, he was taken into custody.

Hours after the tragedy at Amakom in Kumasi on Saturday, May 25, the three-year-old Richard Nana Yaw Ampomah reportedly passed away while undergoing treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

When his father’s car crashed with LilWin’s Mercedes-Benz, it is said that Nana Yaw was sitting in the front passenger seat. According to witnesses, the actor was operating his vehicle at maximum speed when it crashed.
