Kwame Nkrumah’s impact on Ghana surpasses the current NPP administration, Captain Smart asserts

Captain Smart responded to remarks made during his official unveiling in Kumasi by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the Energy Minister and running partner to the NPP flagbearer.

Shortly after his unveiling, on Tuesday, July 9, Dr. Opoku Prempeh spoke to party supporters at the rally grounds and praised the NPP’s accomplishments as the best under any government Ghana has ever had.

He claimed that President Akufo-Addo had developed Ghana more effectively than any president, including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

“I can declare with confidence that, starting in 1957, no president has done more to advance Ghana’s interests than Nana Akufo-Addo.

“I mean from 1957, even including your Kwame Nkrumah, none of them has protected Ghana and developed the country more than Nana Akufo-Addo,” he stated in Twi at his official unveiling event on July 9, 2024, at Kumasi’s Jubilee Park.

Captain Smart, on the other hand, reacted negatively to Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s remarks.

In response to the running mate’s remarks to Dr., Bawumia chastised Dr. Opoku Prempeh for his remark and strongly opposed his position.

According to Captain Smart, even Dr Kwame Nkrumha’s weewee and poopoo are more appealing than the current NPP.
