Kotoko Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei to contest for GFA President

The Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr. Kwame Kyei is set to contest for the vacant GFA President position.

The position became vacant following the exit of Kwesi Nyantakyi after the infamous Number 12 Football Corruption Exposé.

The Ghana Football Association went to Congress yesterday to approve new regulations drafted by the Normalization Committee, paving way for Executive Committee and Presidential elections.

The current CEO of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has declared his intention to contest for the hot seat.

Other people who have made their Presidential ambition known are George Afriyie, Fred Pappoe, Wilfred Osei Palmer, Alhaji Grusah and Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Each of the Aspirants will have to purchase a form as 5,000 cedis. The Election date is slated for late October.
