Ghana records 1st suspected case of Monkeypox in Ahanta West

Ghana has recorded it first suspected case of monkeypox since it outbreak in UK and USA.

Ghana has recorded the country’s first suspected monkeypox case.

The suspected monkeypox case has been recorded in the Ahanta West District in the Western Region of Ghana.

A young boy from the district suspected to have caught the monkeypox has symptoms on his body shows.

A medical doctor, Dr Kofi Adum-Atta shared photos of the boy on his Twitter account in his quest to alert the general public.

 

 

 

The Ghana Health Service are expected to come out with an official statement on the suspected monkeypox case.
