Following the Telecel Ghana Music Awards’ 25th edition, which took place at the Grand Arena, Kuami Eugene has gone completely insane.

The rock star’s song “Cryptocurrency” won Best Music Video, even though many people, including his fans, thought he would win Album of the Year.

In contrast to past years when music awards were given out, Kuami Eugene was not mentioned as a serious contender for several categories this year.

Despite having popular songs, he did not appear in the well-known industry conversations regarding performers who would steal the show at TGMA25.

Just when we thought everything was settled, Kuami Eugene revealed some “dirty” information about the Ghanaian music industry.

A few hours after the awards show, the “Monica” hitmaker said in a tweet on X that the music industry is not what people think it is.

He went on to say that it’s now a “bloody game,” asserting that individuals will stop at nothing to feel validated.

The RockStar came to the conclusion that these factors have made the music industry ugly and dysfunctional.

Hearing this from a performer who was previously awarded Artiste of the Year has surprised me. He might be right.
