Frank Acheampong Partners With German World Cup Winner Lothar Matthäus To Buy Accra Lions For €2 Million

Frank Acheampong has teamed up with Lothar Matthäus and one other German to buy Accra Lions.

Ghanaian footballer Frank Acheampong has teamed up with 1990 World Cup winner Lothar Matthäus and Oliver Konig to buy Ghana Premier League club Accra Lions.

The unveiling ceremony was held in Accra today where the new owners were introduced to the playing body.

 

 

“Of course, it’s a business model. Ghana has always had a huge potential of talent, you can see that in the national team” – Lothar Matthäus

It is believed the club is valued at €2m.
