Former MASLOC Boss Sedina Tamakloe Runs From Ghana As Court Sentences Her 10-Years In Prison For GH¢90 Million Corruption

Former MASLOC boss Sedina Tamakloe has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Sedina Tamakloe, the former boss of MASLOC has been given a 10-year prison sentence for causing financial loss to the state.

Daniel Axim who was also the Chief Operating Officer has been jailed for 5 years.

The two were both found guilty on 78 count of causing financial loss to the state, stealing, conspiracy to steal, money laundering and causing loss to public property in contravention of public procurement.

 

 

The trial started in 2019 and finally the court ruling is in but Sedina Tamakloe is currently not in Ghana.

She was tried in absentia as she had ran from Ghana after obtaining permission of court to seek medical care outside the country in 2021 but has failed to return home.

Sedina Tamakloe and Daniel Axim were not able to account for GH¢1,706,000 which was meant for a sensitisation and monitoring programme for 85,300 beneficiaries of MASLOC loans, and GH¢1,465,035 meant to support victims of the Kantamanto Market disaster.
