Felicia Cortes Died in Logan Square shooting, fiery crash into dumpster

Police have identified the woman who was killed in the shooting and subsequent catastrophic crash into a dumpster in Logan Square.

Authorities have released the name of the lady died in a shooting and fiery wreck on the city’s Northwest Side.

At about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, the 2700 block of North Pulaski Road in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood was the scene of an incident, according to the police. The woman was driving when shots were fired at her from another car.

After hitting a dumpster, the woman apparently lost control of her vehicle, which caught fire, according to the authorities. Her death was ruled an accident, and the medical examiner eventually determined her identity to be 27-year-old Felicia Cortes.

The detectives from Area 5 have been called in. When asked for more details, police officials first withheld them.
