Fatal Accident Hits Shatta Wale’s Convoy: Dispatch Rider Dies En Route to Bolgatanga Concert

In the late hours of Thursday, May 30, 2024, award-winning Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale and his group were spotted at Kotoko International Airport preparing to take off for Bolgatanga, in the Upper East area.

This was related to Taabea Company Limited’s planned free outdoor event featuring the singer, which they were using to launch one of their new goods.

According to online reports, the event is scheduled to take place at the recently renovated Bolgatanga Sports Stadium today, Friday, May 31, 2024.

Most certain reports leading up to the massive concert that indicate things did not go as expected.

A dispatch rider in his early 30s who was a part of the convoy escorting the self-proclaimed African Dancehall King from the Tamale Airport to his hotel was tragically killed in a road accident, according to a report seen on MyNewGh. Shatta Wale and his team were sadly met with this news.

The tragic event, according to the report, happened on the Tamale-Bolgatanga Highway when the motorbike rider, who is now presumably dead, was leading the convoy when he collided with another car.

According to the report, the rider was catapulted off his motorcycle by the impact of the collision, tragically losing his life in the process.

The same has been reported by Joe Elorm Dumolga, another blogger who is thought to be in Bolgatanga.

The dispatch rider is apparently Sergeant Frempah, who studied criminal procedure, police ethics, and the law of evidence at the National Police Training School.

Neither the concert organizers nor Shatta Wale’s camp have made an official statement as of yet, but we will keep our readers informed if that changes.
