Drop Prof Naana Jane For Togbe Afede Or Nii Moi Thompson - NDC Ras Mubarak Advises Mahama

NDC Presidential candidate John Mahama has been asked to pick a new running mate for the 2024 election as against maintaining Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.

John Mahama has been advised to dropped Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang for Togbe Afede or Nii Moi Thompson.

Having been elected as the Presidential candidate for the NDC last year, he is yet to name running mate.

Some of the party members believe they will be better off with another person as running mate as they believe Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang didn’t pull any vote for the party in the 2020 election.

Former NDC Parliamentarian, Ras Mubarak is suggesting to John Mahama to consider Togbe Afede or Nii Moi Thompson.

Taking to twitter he wrote;

“A John Mahama/ Togbe Afede XIV ticket or a John Mahama / Nii Moi Thompson ticket would be the real McCoy. It’s not too late to be considered. I’ll expand my views on this soon.“

This comes few days after the Asogli State revealed that Togbe Afede is willing to step down as a chief and become John Mahama’s running mate if he’s chosen.

 

 

The constitution of Ghana bars chiefs from engaging in partisan politics and if they accept any political position, they have to quit their Chieftaincy position.
