Date of birth of Mahama wins cash for Kumasi lotto stakers
The date of birth of former President Mahama has brought fortune to some lotto stakers in Kumasi.
Some lotto stakers in Kumasi over the weekend won big, having used John Mahama’s birth year, 1958 to stake lotto.
Some of the winners who spoke to Kumasi based Luv Fm were overjoyed.

“If you don’t have money, you don’t have a say, if not for the lotto my daughter who has gotten nursing training admission, would’ve gotten pregnant,” overjoyed charcoal seller, Akua Laariba
According to the woman, her burden has been banished by two ‘magic’ numbers, 19 and 58.
“When John Mahama came to Moshi Zongo, I went there and it was there [and] we were told of the year he was born and so we decided to stake it.
“I staked GH₵10 and won GH₵,2,000. I’ve gone for another charcoal consignment and deposited GH₵,1,000 at the bank to cater for my daughter’s education,” Akua Laariba added.
Other winners also expressed their joy. Alfred who won GH₵200 had this to say.
“After we returned from the rally, I staked one cedi,”
Rumors on the ‘magic number’ reached Ayishetu, a resident of Dekyemso. She staked GH₵5 and won GH₵1,000.
“I was at the store and I heard of it. I had to look for a secluded place to stake. I got 1,000 cedis,” she said with joy.
Ex President was born on the 29th of November, 1958.
