Beyond the R!tu@ls: District Grand Master Exposes Freemasonry’s True Purpose

Right Worshipful Isaac Owulaku Hood, the District Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of Ghana, has addressed common misconceptions regarding freemasonry.

Appropriately Worshipful Freemasonry, according to Isaac Owulaku, is a society with secrets much like any other, not a secret society.

He made a comparison between the custom of secrecy in Freemasonry and the private meetings held by other organizations, like Joy FM’s administration.

In advance of the forthcoming 2024 Festival of Institutional Lodges, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 8 at the Ridge Masonic Hall in Cape Coast, Hood delivered the following remarks on the JoyFM Super Morning Show.

Dr. Francis Lodowic Bartels (OBE), the first Black African headmaster of Mfantsipim School, will be honored at this year’s celebration.

Dr. Francis Lodowic Bartels (OBE), the first Black African headmaster of Mfantsipim School, will be honored at this year’s celebration.

The festival’s subject, “Freemasonry and Religion: Dispelling the Myths, Distilling the Truth,” should lead to instructive talks and thoughtful debates.

Hood made it clear that Freemasonry will invite the general public to the festival in order to highlight their charitable endeavors and provide information about the group.

He invited the general people to take part and experience directly what Freemasonry is really all about.
