Ashanti Region: Gob3 Sellers Increase Prices As Price of Beans Shoots Up By 100% (Video)

Sellers of one of Ghana’s favorite meal, gari and beans popularly known Gob3 have increased the price of the meal.

In the Ashanti Region, a bowl of Gob3 which used to sell at GH¢1 is now selling at GH¢1.50, the cheapest now.

The increased in price of Gob3 was necessitated by the 100% rise in the price of beans on the consumer market since October, 2021.

Joynews spoke a couple of sellers in Kumasi the Capital of the Region on why they’ve increased their prices.

A Gob3 seller at Ayigya said despite the fact that she’s increased her prices, she barely makes profits.
