Asante Kotoko thrash Nkana of Zambia to move 2nd in group C

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has made light works of Zambian side, Nkana at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors recorded a sweet revenge, having lost the first leg by 3-1.

Kotoko grabbed an early lead in the 5th minute though an Abdul Fawatu freekick.

Winger Emmanuel Gyamfi made it 2-0, placing the ball in an empty net after the Nkana keeper failed to save a ferocious shot from Daniel Darkwah.

Martin Antwi sealed the victory with a sublime free kick in the 27th minute.

The 2nd half of the game couldn’t produce any goal.

The the other group B game, Al Hilal of Sudan defeated Zesco United of Zambia by 3 goals to 1.

The result means, Al Hilal tops the group with Asante Kotoko moving to 2nd.
