Former Blackstars captain Stephen Appiah affectionately called Tonardo is loved by many in the country including non football fans.

Having retired from football in 2015, Stephen Appiah is currently serving his nation in football but not as a player.

The former Juventus midfielder is currently the team manager of Ghana Blackstars, a team he captained to it first ever FIFA World Cup in 2006.

Stephen Appiah during his playing days in Italy gave birth to 3 handsome boys and a beautiful lady with his wife.

His first born, a male, Rodney Appiah has taken to football. During the summer holidays he won the goal king and MVP at the summer camping football league at the Lizzy Sports Complex.
