Although a college degree is not mandatory for entrepreneurship, attending college can be very helpful, as it teaches you soft skills like ownership, accountability, time management, prioritizing and emotional maturity.

Consider gaining experience before starting your business, whether that be through volunteer work, apprenticeship, internship or general work experience.

There are several questions you need to ask yourself before choosing entrepreneurship over college – you should evaluate your industry, skills, passion, experience, financial stability and support.

Well, Ghanaian actor cum politician John Dumelo, has called on the youth to master courage to accomplish every business ambition they have and ready to battle any obstacle that might set them backwards.

According to him, you don’t need a degree or any high profile in your CV to start up a business on your own, it requires only hard work, foresight and perseverance but on a contrary you should be of high education standard to work for a business owner.

Sharing on his Snapchat wall, he wrote; „you don’t need a degree to be a business owner… but you need a degree to work for a business owner“
