You can now pay Electricity and Water bills in Ghana with plastic waste

A recycling company has initiated a program that allows people to pay their electricity bills with plastic waste.

The company SESA has made it their work to help help people keep their environment clean of plastic waste.

This is how one can pay their electricity bills with plastic waste;

4kg of plastic cans or 20kg of plastic bottles is worth Gh¢10.00 coupon.

If a person sends 4kg of plastic cans or 20kg of plastic bottles to any of their collection points (as stated on SESA’s website) the fellow will get Gh¢10.00 coupon.

As per arrangement with the Electricity Company of Ghana, the SESA recycling coupon can be used to pay for electricity bills.

The initiative isn’t limited to Electricity as similar arrangement has been made with the Ghana Water Company Limited.
