“Why fight over the funeral of a man who fell out with your party” – Manasseh to NDC

Celebrated journalist Manasseh Azuri Awuni has blasted the NDC for trying to hijack the funeral of former President Rawlings.

The NDC have been crying of being neglected by the state from the funeral arrangements of their founder.

Some of the party faithfuls have e even threatened to organize their own funeral should the family of Rawlings keeps giving the government optimum treatment with respect to funeral arrangement.

Vocal amongst the NDC faithfuls are General Secretary Johnson Aseidu Nketia and former Presidential Aspirant Stephen Atubiga.

Manasseh Azuri says the NDC should stop pretending Rawlings was cool with them when he was alive.

“Why fight over the funeral of a man who fell out with your party long before his death? He was closer to Akufo-Addo than you.” – Manasseh Azuri said

The investigative journalist added that if they couldn’t make peace with him when he was alive, they cannot make peace with his dead body.

“If you couldn’t make peace with him, you cannot make peace with his dead body. Move on. He deserves a state, not a party, burial.” – He stressed
