He played pivotal roles in the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, serving as Director and Vice President of Membership. As a member of the Modesto Rotary North, he assumed the role of president in 1987. Duke’s contributions extended to the Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, where he held positions as Vice Chairman and Secretary. In 2010, he lent his expertise to the City of Modesto’s Comprehensive Fee Task Force committee. Duke’s untimely passing has left a void in the community, but his legacy of community involvement and dedication to his profession will continue to inspire.
