What Ghanaians are saying about Akuffo-Addo’s plan to make university education free
President Akufo-Addo says his government is considering implementing free tertiary education in the country.
According to the president, the greatest investment to make in a country is to invest in it’s people, therefore, he intends to do so by investing in the education of the people.
“What I’ve realised is that countries that are leading in development began by investing in the education of their people and that helped a lot,” he said on Kumasi-based Wontumi FM.
Ghanaians on social media have reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s assertion that his government has plans to implement free tertiary education in Ghana.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has already implemented the Free SHS policy, which kickstarted in September 2017.
The President said the greatest investment the country could get would be to invest in Ghanaians.
His comments on free tertiary education have sparked different responses from Ghanaians on social media.
