We just throw around the “Honorable” Title … – Sarkodie reacts to Ghana’s day of shame in Parliament
Sarkodie has blasted the Ghana Parliament following the multiple brawls at the inauguration of the 8th Parliament.
The inauguration was marred with several brawls starting with fight for the majority side of the seats and ended with ballot papers snatching incident.
NDC MPs came early and occupied the seats occupied by the NPP, the majority of the 7th parliament which was yet to end.
Leaders of the NPP pleaded with their members to let sleeping dogs lie but Ursula Owusu of the NPP had none of that and went and grab a seat amongst the NDC members.
NDC MP for Ashaiman Alex Norgbey pushed down Ursula Owusu from her and she retaliated by pushing down the NDC MP seat next to her.
Another brawl happened when NDC MP John Jinapor destroyed the voting booth during the secret balloting.
The disgraceful behavior of the members of parliament have attracted shame for Ghana all over social media.
The biggest of the shame happened when NPP Tema West MP Carlos Ahenkorah snatched ballot papers of the Speaker of Parliament election.
Musician Sarkodie has taken to social media to call the MPs for their behavior.
