The Black Meteors made history on Tuesday night when they defeated their Algerian counterparts to book a ticket to U23 AFCON.
Having drew 1-1 in Accra all hopes were lost when the National U23 team traveled to Algeria for the return leg.
The team led by captain Yaw Yeboah defied all odds and defeated Algeria by a lone goal to qualify for the first time to the U23 AFCON.
Before the players would take to the pitch in Setif, they held a powerful prayer session where they cried to God for help.
Bernard Tekpetey led the team in the dressing room with a highly spiritual prayers.
And indeed the prayer worked for Ghana. This was minutes before kick off – Credit: Michael Tufuor aka Ariel Ortega of Kasapa 102.5FM pic.twitter.com/ajHOyWkd0A
