Video: Name University of Ghana after my Dad and not some quack University – Busia’s Daughter blasts Akufo

The daughter of Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia has rubbished the President’s action of naming the University of Energy and Natural Resources after the former Prime Minister.

The State has honored Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia who served as Prime Minister from 1969 before his eventual exit in 1972 following a coup.

The University based in the Bono Region, Busia’s home region has named after him on Saturday in a ceremony as their campus.

The naming has received mixed reactions with majority lambasting the President for renaming almost everything the state owns after his party greats.

Surprisingly Nana Frema Busia, the daughter of Busia, isn’t pleased with the honor done to the memory of her late fathers as he deems the University of Energy to quack.

In an interview with Citi TV, she said the government should name the University of Ghana after her Dad and not a quack university without quality like the University of Energy and Natural Resources.
