Algeria has booked a date with Senegal in the 2019 African Cup of Nations grand final with a win over Nigeria.
The game played at the Cairo International Stadium was a cagey one with Algeria slightly on top.
The Desert Foxes of Algeria took the lead in the first half with Trent-Ekong of Nigeria scoring an own goal.
A 2nd half calm penalty goal from Odion Ighalo leveled the scores for Super Eagles, giving them hope of a win.
In the death of time when the game was almost headed for extra time Riyad Mahrez drove a dagger through the hearts of Nigerians by scoring a sweet freekick goal for the Algerians.
The Desert Foxes of Algerian will meet the Taranga Lions of Senegal in the grand final on Friday evening.
