The management of Betyetu Ghana issued a press release on a disclaimer issued by Charterhouse Ghana organisers of the VGMA on the 16th of May stating that they were not in partnership with Betyetu in its Novelty bets on the VGMA slated for the 18th of May.
In a press release, signed by Management of Betyetu Ghana and copied the Newsarena.com.gh said,
“In response to requests from our customers decided to provide a novelty bet on the VGMA – It was done as a bit of fun as many of our customers wanted to add some extra entertainment to what is already a great Ghanaian event. We do not need the Charterhouse’s sanction to do so.
We agree with the organizers of the 2019 VGMA Charterhouse Ghana in their disclaimer stating that there is no alliance between either organizations, however, what we don’t understand or agree with is Charterhouse Ghana asking the public to desist from betting. our question would be what right do they have to do so?
Novelty bets are social bets that can be taken on any event be it Entertainment, Current Affairs, Elections, Weather, Music Awards, Movies/Series, Pageant, Talent Hunts and Sports Novelties. Some of the most popular Novelty bets running currently are on the series Game of Thrones and British Got Talent
We would like to confirm to all our loyal customers that any bet placed on Betyetu.com.gh is done under the terms and conditions of our site and Charterhouse is not liable for any wager and is not in partnership with Betyetu.com.gh.
As a special bonus to everyone that took part, if there is a wedding proposal this year at the awards, we will double the payout to all winners of that market! However we are not proposing any potential legally binding relationship between Betyetu and Charterhouse Ghana!!
Now let everyone chill – Hope this year’s event is as great as always and may we wish all our customers the best of luck and a big congratulations to all the nominees of this year’s awards. May the best win.”
