Information reaching us indicates United Television has suspended two of it political shows Nokwɛre Mmrɛ and Asempa Yɛ’tia.
Nokwɛre Mmrɛ is a program hosted by Sammy Gyamfi of the NDC to attack the NPP government in a bid to campaign against them.
Asempa Yɛ’tia is the NPP’s version where the host Owusu Bempah alias Aboa apapɔ to counter the NDC’s program and attack John Mahama.
Both television programs are privately produced by the individual parties who have bought airtime at UTV.
Reason for the suspension of the programs isn’t clear but communicators of the two rival parties are saying different things.
The NDC says the NPP government threatened Utv to stop their program lest they deal with them for allowing Sammy Gyamfi to make treacherous accusations.
NPP communicators on the other hand are saying the NDC has threatened to sue UTV for allowing Owusu Bempah to use their platform to peddle lies.
