The Arsenal midfielder was reported to have been sacked by coach C.K Akonnor for turning up late to camp.

This news is false according inside sources within the Ghana Football Association.

The player reported to camp on Thursday to sought permission from coach C.K Akonnor to be excused from the Blackstars games on grounds that he is not fully fit.

The coach agreed to excuse him from the games against Morocco and Ivory Coast.
