Hon. Sara Adwoa Safo has retained the NPP Parliamentary tickets at the Dome Kwabenya Constituency.
The contest today was one of the most competitive amongst all the NPP seats in Greater Accra.
After the vote counting, Sara Adwoa Safo got 496, 8 more than Mike Oquaye Junior who got 488 votes.
Following the victory, Adwoa Safo says his defeated competitor has called her to congratulate her.
In a post on her social media page, she thanked God for giving her this win because it means everything to her.
“It is God who crowns kings and this victory means everything to me.
My victory means that the people want a continuation of my good services.
We will continue the roads, schools, markets, health centres. This is evident of the fact that the people really want a continuation of those projects.
Mr. Oquaye Jr. has called to congratulate me and we are going to work together.”
