The penalty against South Africa was soft – Ghana Blackstars defender Andy Yiadom

Ghanaian footballer Andy Yiadom has called the penalty awarded to his country against South Africa a soft penalty.

The Reading defense man says the penalty call that went in favor of Ghana on Sunday is a soft one.

Speaking in an interview with BBC on his return to England, the Blackstars player explained that footages he’s seen suggest the penalty was a soft one.

“When I was on the pitch, it looked like a penalty. When I saw it back here it was a little bit soft but I mean it’s football. We’ll take that and move on.” – Andy Yiadom said

He also talked about Ghana’s possible opponent in the play off and tagged the potential opponents as strong.

“I’ve looked at the list of opponents we could possibly play, it’s tough. Teams are real strong.” – he said

Ghana could draw any of the following seeded teams in the draw which is slated for December 18; Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Nigeria.
