Separatist group declare ‘Volta Region’ Independence from Ghana
A separatist group in the Volta Region of Ghana has finally declared their lands independence from Ghana.
The leader of the group Mr. Charles Komi Kudzordzi alias Papavi Hogbedetor and some members held an event over the weekend to declare parts of the Volta region independence from the country Ghana.
The Homeland Study Group Foundation, (HSGF), a separatist group has been campaigning for an independent Western Togoland nation for years now.

Western Togoland voted to be part of the then soon to be independent Ghana in 1956 via a plebiscite.
Mr. Charles Komi Kudzordzi alias Papavi Hogbedetor hold the believe now is the right time Western Togoland want to break away from Ghana.
