Stephen Appiah, former captain of Ghana’s senior national football, the Black Stars has finally buried his late mother.
The burial of the late Comfort Afua Amotey Aidoo came off after a burial ceremony at the John Wesley Methodist Church at Palladium in Accra on the morning of Friday, March 15.
From the photos available to Ghsplash.com, many of Stephen Appiah’s playing colleagues and other leading football stars were spotted at the grounds as they mourned with the former Fernabache midfielder.
Among the elegant grievers were Black Stars mentor, Kwasi Appiah, John Paintsil and Sam Johnson, and previous striker Augustine Arhinful.
Aside from the football stars, different dignitaries including previous president J.J. Rawlings and Youth and Sports Minister Iasacc Asiamah went to the memorial service.
Prince David Osei, Oboy Salinko, Bismark the Joke, and radio presenter Amanda Jissih were likewise present.
