Samuel Eto’o announces retirement from football after 22 years in the game

World football icon Samuel Eto’o has finally bowed out gracefully from active football.

The Cameroonian striker, 38 announced yesterday his decision to retire from Football.

The legendary number 9 really had a great impact in world football within his 22 years in active football.

Samuel Eto’o Fils has an illustrious career which saw him play for the great football clubs in world football like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea.

He holds the record as the only footballer to win back to back treble having won the treble with Inter Milan in 2009/10 after winning it with Barcelona in 2008/09.

At the National team level, Eto’o won an Olympic Gold with the Olympic Football Team of Cameroon in 2000 and two African Nations Cup in 2000 and 2002.
