Sadio Mane beats Salah and Mahrez to win CAF African Player Of The Year (Video)
The 2019 CAF African Best Player Awards Gala was held this evening in Cairo, the Capital of Egypt.
The 3 shortlisted players for the flagship African Player Of The Year award were Sadio Mane of Senegal and Liverpool, his team mate Mohamed Salah from Egypt and Liverpool’s Riyad Mahrez representing Morocco.
Mohamed Salah won the two previous editions, 2019 and 2018 with Riyad Mahrez getting the crown in 2017.
Connoisseurs of the game tipped Sadio Mane to win the crown this year and rightfully he won the crown.

In other categories, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco was adjudged the African Youth Player of the Year.
