Tragic Loss: Ronnie Creech Passes Away in Fatal Lexington Pedestrian Accident
A heartbreaking incident occurred on Friday evening, resulting in the tragic loss of Ronnie Creech, a 30-year-old resident of Mount Sterling, Kentucky. The accident unfolded on New Circle Road near Alumni Drive in Lexington, leading to a shutdown of part of the roadway.
According to Lt. Tyson Carroll of the Lexington Police Department, the collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. Unfortunately, when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the pedestrian involved, Ronnie Creech, had lost his life.
The Fayette County coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Ronnie Creech, and this devastating incident has left the community in mourning.
As of around 8:30 p.m., the inner loop of New Circle Road remained closed at Richmond Road and Woodhill Drive to facilitate the ongoing investigation by the police department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit. The road was eventually reopened to traffic at about 10:15 p.m.
